RMS climate change model shows up to 75% increase in Europe flood loss

RMS senior director Joss Matthewman said that the firm’s new climate change model suite shows that the average annual loss (AAL) from European flood risks may increase by 34% to 75% by 2050.

The lower-end uplift reflects the most optimistic of warming scenarios from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), RCP 2.6,
