Markel Catco releases further $19.2mn from side pockets

Markel Catco has said it has freed up a further $19.2mn of capital from side pockets, which will take its return of capital to investors in its London-listed Reinsurance Opportunities Fund to $287.1mn.

The company should receive the proceeds in May and will carry out a seventh compulsory redemption of its shares after that point.
