Perils lifts Queensland hailstorms loss estimate by 39% to A$839mn at final count

Perils has pegged its final loss estimate for the Queensland hailstorms in April last year at A$839mn ($648mn), a 39% increase from an October estimate.

The loss aggregator’s fourth and final estimate comes a year after the central region of Queensland was hit by severe thunderstorms, which produced hail of 8-10 cm in diameter.
