Beazley’s market facilities division, represented by its Smart Tracker syndicate, reported the fastest growth of its segments in the first quarter as the insurer’s overall gross written premium rose 16% to $971mn.

Gross premium: The market facilities premium grew 35% off a small base to $42mn, benefiting from 9% rate increases.
