TSR nudges up Atlantic hurricane season forecast

Tropical Storm Risk (TSR) lifted its Atlantic hurricane season forecast, adding one additional named storm, one more hurricane and one extra major hurricane to its outlook.

The forecaster is now predicting 18 named storms, nine hurricanes and four major hurricanes.

The 2021 season should be 30%-35% more active than the long-term norm, TSR scientists said.
