Florida Governor Ron DeSantis on Friday signed into law a property insurance reform bill expected to cut back on roof-damage claims and lawsuits.

The new law is also likely to bring rate increases for customers of the state’s insurer of last resort, Citizens Property Insurance, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported.
