JP Morgan ILS cell supports Lloyd’s £650mn central fund reinsurance

Lloyd’s has raised a £650mn ($760mn) five-year reinsurance cover for its Central Fund, including an ILS component through a cell structure backed by JP Morgan.

The Corporation said the cover would support “sustainable, profitable long-term market growth” by protecting against severe tail-risk events and improving its central solvency ratio.
