Arch secures over $616mn from Bellemeade mortgage ILS deal

Arch Mortgage Insurance Company has announced it obtained over $616mn of indemnity reinsurance, including $523mn from a new Bellemeade Re 2021-2 mortgage ILS issuance and $93mn in direct reinsurance.

The coverage extends over a pool representing approximately $36bn of mortgages.

This was Arch’s second mortgage ILS deal of 2021 and the 16th Bellemeade transaction since the programme’s inception in 2015.
