Perils pegs April storm Seroja loss at A$434mn

Perils has estimated that Tropical Cyclone Seroja, which hit Western Australia in April, will cost insurers A$434mn ($324mn) across property and motor hull lines.

The loss aggregator said the event initially looked set to come in below its event-reporting threshold of A$500mn, but there had been significant claims development in recent weeks and the loss had both local and international coverage.
