KCC puts Elsa US insured loss under $300mn

Tropical Storm Elsa Makes Landfall In Florida

Modelling firm Karen Clark & Company (KCC) estimated US insured losses from storm Elsa will be between $240mn to $290mn, falling short of last year’s estimate for another minor storm that struck Florida, Eta.

KCC noted that a further $50mn of insured losses would arise from damage caused by Elsa in the Caribbean.
