Axis Capital today announced the appointment of Chris Caponigro as global head of ILS as well as the rebranding of its third-party capital unit as Axis ILS.

Caponigro had served as head of business development at Mt Logan Re since 2015, where he led investor relations and global capital fundraising for the private capital arm of Everest Re.
