NatWest Pension Fund trims ILS allocation, while North Yorkshire grows exposure

NatWest Pension Fund (formerly Royal Bank of Scotland) reduced its allocation to catastrophe insurance in 2020, while another UK investor, the North Yorkshire Pension fund, reported slight growth to its ILS holdings, reports show.

This came as ILS market participants said shake-ups in the UK pension scheme could create new demand for the asset class, with grouped local authority scheme LGPS Central currently looking for a provider.
