Government of Jamaica to seek $175mn-$185mn from IBRD cat bond

The Government of Jamaica has told investors it will seek to raise $175mn-$185mn from a new International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) cat bond.

This will be Jamaica’s first cat bond using the World Bank’s Capital at Risk programme, which has helped other countries to raise ILS cover in the past, including Mexico and other South American nations.
