Markel is seeing “a lot of interest” from investors in establishing bespoke single-member vehicles with unique trading strategies, the firm’s co-CEO Richie Whitt said on its Q2 earnings call.

Investors were sometimes looking for specific risk-return profiles, or perhaps specific ESG opportunities that might not be available in multi-investor funds, he noted.
