The Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) has announced that it has streamlined the process for special purpose insurers to become licensed and registered within the authority, meaning applicants will be certified within three business days.

The Authority said it considered the “significant” enhancement to its regime as in alignment with the evolving needs of the ILS market.
