The Caldor Fire has destroyed 921 structures in eastern California, burning through 215,400 acres and spreading across the two counties of El Dorado and Amador, according to the latest update from Cal Fire at 03:45 (BST).

The blaze, which started on 14 August, is threatening 77,670 structures, with full containment expected on 27 September, as it is now 44% contained.
