Scor adds $100mn sidecar to ILS cover as it targets frequency retro

Scor said that it launched a new $100mn sidecar to take its ILS retrocession cover to $850mn, as it discussed plans to significantly increase P&C growth while clamping down on catastrophe frequency, in its investor day presentations.

The new sidecar provides cover for its worldwide cat XL book, effective 1 April. The reinsurer has also issued a number of Atlas cat bonds.
