Travelers claims $95mn aggregate reinsurance recovery

Travelers has recovered $95mn of losses related to catastrophe and non-catastrophe weather events in the third quarter, under its 2021 property aggregate catastrophe excess-of-loss reinsurance treaty.

The carrier’s net nat-cat losses for Q3 amounted to $501mn pre-tax, primarily from Hurricane Ida and severe storms in several regions of the US.
