Munich Re reports EUR1.8bn in combined Q3 cat losses

Munich Re has reported preliminary profits of EUR400mn ($466mn) for Q3 after taking EUR1.2bn of Hurricane Ida losses and EUR600mn of flooding losses caused by Storm Bernd.

The carrier posted the figures today ahead of its full quarterly results due next month. They show that the Q3 result will mean Munich Re has achieved a result of roughly EUR2.1bn
