Loss aggregator Perils has estimated that windstorm Hendrik-Ignatz, which swept through north-western Europe in October, will result in insurance claims of EUR311mn ($352mn).

The majority of the insurance losses occurred in France, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg, and there were also limited losses in Switzerland and the Netherlands.
