November flooding in Canada to cost C$450mn: CatIQ

Flooding that struck British Columbia, Canada, in mid-November will cause losses of C$450mn ($353mn), according to early estimates from Catastrophe Indices and Quantification (CatIQ).

The Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC), which obtained the figures from CatIQ, said the flood will be the costliest severe-weather event in British Columbia’s history.
