Karen Clark & Company (KCC) has estimated insured losses arising from last month’s Marshall Fire at around $1bn.

The late-season wildfire broke out on 30 December off State Highway 93 and Marshall Road in unincorporated Boulder County, Colorado, destroying 1,000 and damaging 100 structures in the most destructive wildfire in state history.
