Reinsurance returns expected to meet cost of capital: Fitch

Fitch Ratings has predicted reinsurance returns will meet the industry’s cost of capital, as the sector showed “mixed results” at January renewals.

The report said the reinsurance sector would improve its return on capital in 2022, above 2021’s predicted high-single-digit forecast, as well as risk-adjusted price rises of around 1%.
