Allstate announces $525mn of pre-tax catastrophe losses for Q4

Allstate has announced that it expects to take $528mn of Q4 pre-tax catastrophe losses for Q4 when it reports its quarterly results next month.

The vast bulk of losses, $411mn, came from came from two events in December, Colorado’s Marshall Fire and the multi-state severe convective storm – a 940.5%
