AIG applies 'modest' cuts to aggregate cat reinsurance spend, lowers deductibles

AIG has “modestly” reduced total spend on catastrophe reinsurance and lowered reinsurance deductibles on its key treaties, after cutting its exposures significantly in past years.

Peter Zaffino, president and CEO, said: “We’ve been very conservative on growth and reduced our net premiums. We are taking less volatility going forward.”
