Markel Catco requests US bankruptcy clearance for buyout

Markel Catco Investment Management will seek US approval of its buyout scheme in a bankruptcy court hearing on 16 March, the firm announced today.

The US clearance is a condition for the buyout to go ahead, with investors due to vote on the scheme on 4 March.
