ICA raises Australia flood claims count by 53%

The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) has hiked reported number of claims linked to flooding in South East Queensland and the New South Wales Coast by 53% compared to yesterday’s number to reach 48,220.

Of these, 78% or 37,807 are from Queensland and the remainder from New South Wales.

Claims from New South Wales are expected to rise in the coming days as policyholders return to their homes and businesses.
