ICA puts flood losses up to A$1.9bn

Australian flood claims have risen 7% in the past day to reach A$1.9bn ($1.4bn), the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) said.

The total claims count has reached 126,511.

Earlier this week, the ICA estimated that 63% of claims to date had come in from Southeast Queensland and 37% from New South Wales (NSW).
