Suncorp’s flood losses protected by combination of reinsurance recoveries

Suncorp has said a combination of its various reinsurance covers would be able to respond to the Australian flooding in recent weeks, keeping its net exposure at the previously reported A$75mn ($54mn).

However, the insurer lifted its estimated net natural hazard costs for the year by A$25mn to A$1.1bn.
