Magnitude 7.3 earthquake strikes northern Japan

A magnitude 7.3 earthquake has struck off the coast of Fukushima in northern Japan and triggered a tsunami advisory.

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) said the quake originated around 36 miles below the sea on Wednesday evening.

The agency has also put in place a tsunami advisory for the coast of the Fukushima prefecture, part of the Tohoku region...
