Markel Catco gains court approval for ILS fund buy-out

Markel and Markel Catco have received court approval for the buy-out transaction being undertaken by two Catco ILS funds, which are currently in run-off.

Approval was granted for the transaction by Bermuda and US courts for the Markel Catco Reinsurance Fund and the Catco Reinsurance Opportunities Fund, both of which are managed by Markel Catco Investment Management.
