Citizens has put forward four options for its 2022 reinsurance program to a finance committee meeting today, with a full governing board meeting due to be held next week after some board members previously queried whether the state-backed insurer should buy cover at all.

The latest reinsurance options reflect Citizens’ growing portfolio, after two private Florida insurance companies have failed in the first quarter.
