RenaissanceRe has promoted Cathal Carr to senior vice president (SVP) underwriting, global head of climate and sustainability strategy, in the latest industry move to appoint a strategic leadership role on climate.

Carr joined the Bermuda-based carrier in 2005 as a risk analyst and was most recently SVP, global head of property catastrophe.
