Suncorp updates Oz floods claims count to 41,900

Suncorp has updated its claims count to 41,900 for the flooding that hit Queensland and New South Wales in late February and March, chairman Christine McLoughlin has said in a letter to shareholders.

McLoughlin wrote: “Notwithstanding the devastating impacts of the recent weather on our customers, Suncorp Group remains well protected against these events and future events through its extensive reinsurance program, with the net retained financial loss from the recent events...
