Florida Senator Jeff Brandes has asked lawmakers to back him in forcing a special session on property insurance ahead of the 2022 hurricane season.

The senator wrote on 6 April imploring Wilton Simpson, senate president, and Chris Sprowls, house speaker, to convene such a session.
