European windstorm exposure grows 5.2% to EUR64.8tn in 2022: Perils

The insured value of assets exposed to European windstorms rose by 5.2% last year to EUR 64.8tn ($711tn), as at the beginning of 2022, according to loss aggregator Perils.

The total represents the largest single cat risk exposure monitored by the company in its Industry Exposure Database (IED), which compiles loss data from across various European countries as well as Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.
