Allstate reported cat reinsurance costs of $144mn for the quarter, compared to $113mn last year, as it expanded its treaty.



The Nationwide program this year provides coverage up to $6.614bn of loss less a $500mn retention, compared to the prior-year coverage of up to $5.763bn
