HCI Group CEO Paresh Patel has said he is waiting on the outcome of the upcoming Florida special session “to get a final pricing outcome on this year’s reinsurance placement”.

Speaking on the firm’s Q1 earnings call, Patel said overall feedback on its reinsurance placement had been “very positive”, adding: “We receive continuing interest to join HCI programs.”
