African Risk Capacity to pay out $14.2mn in Malawi drought cover

The African Risk Capacity (ARC) insurance pool is to pay out $14.2mn to the government of Malawi this month after the county experienced its driest season since 1981.

The pay-out will be distributed through the World Food Programme, which will aim to support Malawian households facing food insecurity.
