Insurers have received more than 10,500 claims so far in relation to the storms and flooding in New South Wales since 1 July, with an estimated insured loss of more than $122mn, according to the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA).
The claims figure marks a 25% increase on Friday’s tally, when the ICA said it had received 8,415 claims in total.
