HCI grows ceded premium by 21% to $56.2mn in Q2

HCI Group ceded $56.2mn of premium in Q2, a rise of 21% compared to $46.4mn in the prior-year quarter, due to growth at Homeowners Choice and TypTap.

Premium ceded as a percentage of gross premium earned fell to 31.0% in the latest quarter, down from 33.3%
