QBE posts reinsurance and other recoveries of $2.1bn

QBE has booked reinsurance and other recoveries of $2.1bn for H1 2022, up from $901mn for the first half of last year.

It also posted $351mn in reinsurance commissions, up from $245mn.

The firm’s net cat loss was $454mn in the period, down by 1.7%
