Louisiana Citizens offers 60-day window to Weston and UPC policyholders

Weston Insurance and United Property & Casualty (UPC) policyholders have an additional 60 days after cancellation to place policies with Louisiana Citizens, the state’s insurance commissioner Jim Donelon said.

Weston had written 10,300 Louisiana policies, which will be cancelled alongside all its other coverage on 7 September, after the carrier was ordered into receivership for liquidation.
