InsurTech platform Accelerant has launched a $175mn sidecar, Flywheel Re, which will provide multi-year risk capital for its membership network of MGAs and underwriters, this publication can reveal.

Through a quota share treaty that supports all of Accelerant’s members, the vehicle will enable investors to invest in Accelerant’s portfolio of low-limit, low volatility commercial SME primary risks.
