Ariel Re head of platform development Tim Shreeve has said Lloyd’s “is a compelling alternative to ILS investment fund structures”, as the reinsurer became a signatory member to the Standards Board for Alternative Investments (SBAI).

Ariel Re was accepted as a signatory and the first non-ILS manager member of SBAI, after the board became open to accepting managing agents as signatories earlier this year.
