Hannover Re expects fronting growth despite ILS stasis

Hannover Re said it was set to continue expansion of its fronted business for collateralised reinsurance despite overall ILS volumes this year appearing to be steady, balancing inflows and outflows.

In a Monte Carlo statement, the reinsurer earmarked growth of capital market deals in life (re)insurance financing as “a highly gratifying development”.
