Japanese authorities have put in place weather warnings for the Okinawa and Kagoshima prefectures and the Kyushu region as Typhoon Nanmadol approaches Japan.

Tropical Storm Risk (TSR) data shows Nanmadol approaching Japan at Category 4 strength at present, although it is expected to weaken to Category 3 as it turns northeast towards Kagoshima and head inland.
