CCR to sell EUR200mn stake in CCR Re by July 2023

French state-backed carrier CCR has announced it will sell a EUR200mn ($198mn) stake in its reinsurance wing, CCR Re, to a shareholder or consortium of shareholders, no later than July 2023.

The announcement comes after Insurance Insider revealed in May that CCR Group had appointed Credit Suisse and Messier to explore opening up the shareholding of the commercial carrier CCR Re.
