Plenum estimates Ian will have ‘negative but limited’ impact on cat bond funds

Plenum has estimated that Hurricane Ian will have a “negative but limited” impact on its cat bond funds with a projected monthly loss in the mid- to high-single-digit percentage range.

The Zurich-based ILS manager said that the projected impact had risen slightly from initial pre-landfall estimates of a low-single-digit impact on performance as the storm’s track turned further south.
