Perils puts Typhoon Nanmadol loss at ‘lower than feared’ 114bn yen

Loss aggregator Perils has pegged its initial loss estimate for Typhoon Nanmadol, which swept through southern Japan in September, at 114bn yen ($768mn).

Perils said the insurance loss was “lower than initially feared” due to the track of the storm, which ran through an area of low value concentrations.
